In my years of painting and making artworks some themes continue to fascinate me as they recur and evolve. I am drawn to the everyday: familiar landscapes, ordinary furniture, family and friends, humble dwellings and the clutter of living.I am more interested in the things I can see and touch around me than the great themes of history. I hope my way of showing things might strike a cord with the viewer – raise a smile, evoke a nod, bring back a memory or just have them think ”well I never saw it like this before”. – Andy Sutton
